Quality Touch Z
was bought as foal by Studfarm Zangersheide because of his fabulous pedigree.
His sire Quick Star is one of the most legendary sport stallions of the 90s,
ridden by Meredith Michaels. On the other side Quality Touch Z is bred out of
the Landgraf I daughter Sevada, who is also dam of the Olympic champion Classic
Touch (Caletto II) ridden by Ludger Beerbaum. Dam Sevada was a successful
jumper herself at S level by the name of Lausanne and ridden by Breido Graf zu Rantzau.
After Quality Touch Z had stood one season at Studfarm Zangersheide as a
4-yr-old, he was sold to South America where he later operated successfully at international sport level. The
total of 35 products of Quality Touch Z that are registered at Studbook
Zangersheide include the licensed stallions Quartz Adelheid Z and Quartz II
Adelheid Z. In 2003 Quartz Adelheid Z won the French championships for 5-yr-old
showjumping horses in Fontainebleau under Gregory Wathelet. At present,
Quartz Adelheid Z is pursuing an international career under Michael Whitaker.
Full brother Quartz II Adelheid Z three times reached the finals of the WC for
young horses in Lanaken.
